Rambling Ted

 

Rambling Ted was created by Michael Abram's and is named after his childhood Teddy Bear.

Wedgwood have marketed a range of Rambling Ted products.....cups, bowls, plates and figurines.

 

The Story:-

Deep in the heart of the countryside lives a very special bear. You'll know him when you see him as not many bears wear big blue gumboots, carry a green rambling bag and eat banana and honey sandwiches. He's one of a kind and answers to the name of Rambling Ted. Although a knowledgeable bear he can be very forgetful and often puts his boots on the wrong feet!. Not being able to tell his left foot from his right leads Ted to ramble in the wrong direction resulting in many wonderful adventures.

Rambling Ted has many special friends who he shares his knowledge of the countryside with: Chomper the constantly hungry racoon, Sunny Bunny who always has a happy smile to share, Twicher the nervous squirrel, Forty winks who is forever tired and listelss and Hoots the not so wise and knowledgebale owl. Ted's nearest and dearest friend is Rambling Rose, whenever they meet they have a special picnic.

Rambling Ted is a friendly, loveable soul, who will take you to a time when summers where long and hot, and every day held in store at least one great adventure. A time of innocence when you felt at one with nature....a time to ramble free!

 

The Characters:

Rambling Ted:

Rambling Ted is a very special little bear. Brave and energetic, he leads and exciting life in which everyday is a brand new adventure as he rambles and rambles around Ramble Valley. All the Animals and birds love Ted because he cares about the countryside and has so much knowledge to share.

Rambling Rose:

Ted's nearest and dearest friend, Rambling Rose is a modern little bear with a feminist streak, who nevertheless, believes all bears are equal and should share the washing up! Spirited and adventurous, with a heart of gold, Rose looks after injured and sick animals in her sanctuary, and grows her own organic vegetables and fruit.

Forty Winks: The hedgehog, spends much of his day dozing and often falls asleep in the middle of a sentence.

Scary Crow: Is a mischievous old bird who watches over Ramble Valley through his telescope.

Twitcher: The squirrel, is a dedicated pessimist. He gets nervous and excited at the drop of a hat.

Sunny Bunny: Is the happiest of rabbits, humming and smiling her way through life.

Hoots: The owl is a know-all. He holds forth on various subjects, sounding wordly wise when he is, in fact, anything but.

Chomper: Is a greedy racoon who eats too much and spends his time annoying everyone.
