MARS BAR SLICE
Ingredients:
7 Mars bars
100 grams butter
8 cups of rice bubbles
2 x 25o gram blocks Cadbury milk chocolate
Method:
Roughly chop into small pieces the butter and 6 of the Mars bars then place in a small saucepan and cook over LOW heat stirring constantly until melted, the Mars bars will not melt completely......Word of warning....do not take your eyes off the mixture as it can burn VERY QUICKLY.
Once the mixture is melted stir in the rice bubbles cup by cup until all the bubbles are coated....you may find that 6 cups is enough, you may find you need a bit more, just use your judgement. Once rice bubbles are coated place in a foil lined square baking dish (the foil will make for easy removal of the slice) pat the mixture down.
The next step is to break up all of the chocolate into small pieces....you can either microwave the chocolate or melt it in a double boiler....I use the microwave.
Once the chocolate is melted pour it over the top of the rice bubble mixture and refrigerate for 3 - 4 hours. Remove the slice from the dish and chop into even square pieces and enjoy.
This recipe makes around 30 pieces.
NOTE: in case your wondering what happens to the 7th Mars bar...well....you eat it while cooking
