Choc-Chip Fudge Cookies with Vanilla Milkshake
Suffering from mid-afternoon hunger pangs? whip up some of these great cookies and serve with the vanilla milkshake...it puts a whole new spin on milk and cookies.
(Why should the kids have all the fun??)
Ingredients:
3/4 cup self-raising flour
3/4 cup plain flour
1 cup dark chocolate choc bits
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
1tsp vanilla essence
1/2 cup butter, melted
Method:
Pre-heat your oven to 180C
Sift both flours into a mixing bowl
Add your choc bits and sugar, then stir in combined egg, vanilla essence and butter.
Mix well with a wooden spoon.
Roll tablespoonfuls of cookie dough into even balls and place on baking paper-lined oven trays. Lightly press each bisuit with a fork.
Bake for 12 - 15 minutes (My oven cooks very fast and these cookies are baked in under 10 minutes).
Remove from the oven and allow to cool on the trays.
Makes around 20 cookies.
Vanilla Milkshake:
Place 500ml of full-cream milk, 2 teaspoons of vanilla essence, 4 scoops of vanilla ice-cream and 3 tablespoons of pouring cream into a blender.
Process for 20 seconds or until frothy. Pour into glasses and enjoy with your freshly baked cookies!! (Serves 2)
