The game is set 2 years after the defeat of Sin, and much has changed. However you can still see the original maps from FFX along with new ones. Also a lot of the old enemies are in there but again, accompanied by some new ones.

| Final Fantasy X-2 is the first SEQUEL to an ff game ever. The game continues where it left off in FFX, only this time you have control of only 3 characters, Yuna, Rikku and Paine, (the new girl on the block) but the introduction to dresspheres. This way it makes the game much like your controlling 20 characters, only you equip the one person with the dressphere, and from there you can use different abilities, much like you do in FFX when you switch characters.
