Anyone hate the Lakers as much as I do?  Thank you.  I'm sure I have millions of anti-Laker enthusiasts out there.  I can not express how happy I am to see them losing, losing, losing, losing, losing!  Ha ha ha ha ha. First of all, Shaq elects to postpone his surgery. Smooth move.  You know what that was all about.  He wanted them to see that he and Kobe and Rick Fox and Horry are not equally The Man. He wanted them to experience the Lakers Life without him and recognize that without him they ain't squat.  Congratulations Shaq, point made. Without him their season was in the toilet.  Their record was even worse than the Golden Fake, oops State Warriors.  How pathetic is that.  And the Warriors were still doing worse than my Portland Trailblazers, ha ha ha (despite our many legal battles).  Anyway, by the time he returned, it is clear that the other members resented him.  They can't work together as a team because they hate the fact that they couldn't buy a win without Shaq on the team.  He's back, they are pissed and intimidated and not only have something to prove to the league, but want to prove something to Shaq. They have succeeded in proving that they are all a bunch of egotistical hacks.  Good job Lakers.  Outside of that, I agree with Jim Rome.  It would be most awful if they still win the championship later, if they pull out and get in.  They'd really just be that much more pathetic and egotistical.  Puke.

Star Trek Nemesis - Rating: Twice My 9
Shinzon is a bad mother . . . shut your mouth!  I'm just talkin 'bout Shinzon.  Oh I loved this movie!  As an avid Star Trek fan I have been looking forward to this movie since last year.  All the rumors of Picard's death (Patrick Stewart let that cat out of the bag so don't blame me), action and drama, I was looking forward to it and I was not left disappointed.  Not only was Shinzon the best enemy since Khan, the movie was an overall blast.  I love Star Trek, but usually I find that the movies weren't much more than a 2-hour TV special not worth my $9.  Not this time.  I plan to go see this one again.  I had a couple of questions about Deanna and Worf and what happened to their relationship, someone mentioned Wesley, whom I didn't mention at all, and what year was it since Janeway was not only there but an Admiral.  I suppose if I pick up the book, some of those questions will be answered.  Other than that, excellent movie.  Well worth your 9, I rate it twice my 9!

Lord of the Rings, Two Towers - Rating: Twice My 9
Erts, Orcs, and Hobbits, oh my!  So many creatures to fight, run from, enlighten, and remember, it's amazing I remember any of them at all.  One thing is for sure, GREAT MOVIE!  And wow, what a battle.  I'm not sure where to begin.  First of all, we know there was software created just for the making of the movie.  So the world is very involved.  I enjoyed the internal battle within Frodo as he tries to keep the ring from taking him over.  As far as external battles, the King deciding where to take his people to safety was an interesting one, especially with most of his soldiers banished and no where close to save them.  How that battle played out was engulfing (look at me trying to sound like a real movie critic).  It kept me on the edge, not merely because of the battle, but because the entire time I was worried they were going to cut the battle and leave it for part 3.  Every moment when it seemed to have a breaking point I was sitting saying, "no,no, don't end there.  I know they're gonna end here, I just know it!"  To my great surprise and relief, they let the battles play out before the movie ended.  I also enjoyed Smiegle - "Precious, precious!" and his constant schizophrenic state, LOL.  Anyway, Lord of the Rings Two Towers - worth twice my 9, gonna see that one again too!

Having seen 2 excellent movies, I think I should go see a crappy one just to put some assortment in my reviews.  Got any suggestions?  [email protected]  ha ha ha
         49ers, NCAA, and NFL Playoffs
Well, the NFL season approaches.  I'm glad to see it arrive since all of the college bowls post New Year's have been toilet bowl games, to put it mildly.  Every match up ending up with scores like 3-42.  How in the hell did those teams end up in a bowl game together?  Okay, okay, not all of them were like that, but TOO DAMN MANY!  At any rate, Playoffs are coming in the NFL.  Now, given my 49er gloves, 49er coat, 49er jersey with my personal name and number on it (authentic jersey might I add), and that I almost bought a matching pair of red and gold shoes, I do not say this lightly when I say - Damn It Garrison Hearst!  If you drop one more damn football . . .oooh, don't make me come down there!  Whew.  Okay, that said.  It was a sad day in the 49er camp when we lose to the Rams using their 3rd string QB.  I did enjoy seeing Kurt sweating on the side lines knowing his job is in jeopardy, ha ha ha.  Regardless, we should have won that game.  Oh, and might I add, our punt kicker must go the way of Cortes because we've had far too many of those damn short punts!!

Regardless of my honest concerns for the best team in the league, and I don't say that just because I'm a fan, honest (smile), I look forward to our team stomping the Giants in the first round.

WAR 49ers!  Killer instincts, baby!
