All about Me!

Who am I?

Hi! My name is Christine and I'm a fanfic addict. Seriously, I should start to introduce myself this way in every email. I'm constantly reading all types of fic - mainly West Wing, but also Buffy, Angel, Gilmore Girls, CSI and any others that strike my fancy. I'm slightly over the big 3-0, married (but no kids) and live in New Jersey. Blah, blah, blah. My life's really not that interesting. Just pretend that I live a glamorous and exciting life both on and off the internet. It's much more fun that way. :)

How did I find out about fanfic?

Surprisingly, it wasn't through West Wing. One day I was surfing the internet looking for Buffy spoilers and came across a page which was marked 'fanfiction.' Curious, I clicked onto it and discovered a mass of stories based on the characters of Buffy. The idea fascinated me. True, most of it was dreck, but a few were really good. I did a web search for more fanfic and found that there were tons of sites dedicated to it, for all types of fandoms. I found a few West Wing sites and quickly got hooked.

When did I write my first fanfic?

In January of 2002, right after Night Five aired. The idea of Josh and Donna each talking to the same person about her job offer intrigued me. Strangely, it was *Sam* that sparked my imagination, despite the fact that I doubted either would talk to him. But he kept talking to me and wouldn't shut up! I'd never even contemplated writing a fic before, but it was the only way for me to get him out of my head. I wasn't going to post it, but the other little voice in my head (you know the one!) wouldn't shut up either. So I asked for a beta, met the wonderful Julia and the rest is history

So what now?

Well, I've met a lot of fun, friendly people on the internet that constantly keep me entertained with their emails and stories. (Yes, Yana and Sharon, I'm looking at you guys!) But that doesn't mean I don't have Real Life friends too. I do. But they all think I'm a little nutty for doing all this online and fanfic stuff. ;) To get to know me as well as them, here's some interesting likes, dislikes and comic anecdotes.
