so, this will be the last entry i write on this geocities account.  funny how i am actually pretty sad; i've developed an attachment to this place, not unlike the fondness a person develops for his first relationship or his first beater of a car.  it's been a good year+ of writing, and i am pleased to know that for the most part, i had something to say the entire time.

the new site looks normal on IE5.5 and NS6.2; diana told me that the splash page came up blank on netscape, so i tried it with NS4.7 first.  she was right.  even worse, the entire blog looks all fucked up, too, and not just on mine, but other movable type-powered sites as well.  so if you're on an older browser, i have to warn you.  it won't be pretty.

*sigh*  it's been a whirlwind these past two weeks, and i don't even remember what made me scramble for a domain name, web hosting service and blog all at once.  i know i was complaining about lack of space, but i still had about a year left on geocities at the current pace.  sometimes we just get these inexplicable charges of conviction, an unstoppable push that doesn't quite make sense but refuses to be denied.

so all of this, coupled with my smoking habit, estrogen craze, tourette's syndrome... makes me wonder if i am more of a slave to my desires more than the average person.  when i get hooked on something, it makes me its bitch.

good memories.  even the silly annoying stuff, like the fact that after i finish up this entry, i have to quit out of pagebuilder and relaunch because some weird bug prevents me from editing a pre-existing page afterwards.  memories like the blue window surrounding this text box, the little house icon that pops up in a window by itself and has no use...

i will miss this.  and after i'm over it, it will settle in my memory bank, becoming more and more rose-tinted as time passes, i'm sure...

but onwards to progress.  one more step towards making my life even more high-maintenance.

see you on the other side.
