PG-13 - Lorelai/Luke - Finished
Manipulative!Digger tries to worm his way back into Lorelai's bed. Not exactly the Digger we've seen on the show, but not a far stretch, either. Completely believable and captures the character's voices perfectly, Lorelai especially.
Jason's demeanor turns reasonable again; he sighs, holds up one palm. "You're right, that was uncalled for. I apologize. But look, even if you're seeing the--Luke... I mean, it must just be a rebound thing--right?"
Lorelai stares at the patterned carpet. "I don't even know for sure that I'm dating him. I don't know what's going on. There are a lot of things in my life that are, you know, up in the air right now." She shrugs helplessly. She doesn't want to be having this conversation, she doesn't want Jason to be sitting here in her brand new Inn, taking up valuable time in which she could be moisturizing and brushing her teeth and getting in bed and fantasizing about Luke Danes.
It's all amazingly inconvenient, dammit.
Jason, oblivious to Lorelai's skin care needs, looks confused. "You don't know whether or not you're dating him?"
She shrugs again. "Luke's enigmatic like that."
