- Sun Set (2005)

During their hayday Klaatu's greatest public claim to fame was based on a rumor that they were actually the Beatles. It was a rumor that ultimately resulted in the bands destruction, once it was proved wrong, and that was a great injustice. Just because Klaatu were not the Beatle's didn't mean their music was any less brilliant. It could take nothing away from the fact that from 1973 to 1982, this band captivated their fans and produced a library of music that is as innovative, artistic and fresh today as it was a quarter century ago.

Klaatu was more than a band, they were an artistic statement of what music could be if the media hype was ignored. They were the pinnacle of music as art at a time when popular music was much too centred on it's own bloated image. Too often in pop music the image is more important than the music, and that is an even bigger injustice.

One of the side effect's of Klaatu's dedication to their art was a large library of alternate versions of their music that has remained hidden.... that is, up until now. The release of The Sun Set, is a cause for celebration for all those with an appreciation of the art of music. Wether you are a seasoned veteran of this bands eclectic sound, or new to their unique musical vision, Sun Set is a sonic journey through imagination, an exploration beyond time and space, into worlds of music that excite the senses and incite the imagination.

Come aboard their ship, and set sail for worlds of wonder. Once again tunnel under the great city with Alfred Beech, mourne the passing of the lighthouse keeper, or wander the streets of a routine day. The world has waited 23 years for the Sun Set.

It was well worth the wait.
