Silverseed - Bronzed
The Newfoundland music scene has produced some very fine young singer songwriters in the last few years, and few better than Colin Harris of Silverseed. Their debut CD, "Bronzed" features mostly tracks written by Colin, any of which is a fine example of the art of songwriting. Equally comfortable in grunge, rock or power ballads, Silverseed have created for themselves a great sound, which should produce a bright future.
Like many a young songwriter of his generation, Colin was influenced by The Beatles, an influence that is obvious on cuts like 'Maybe', 'One' and 'Flask'. The sheer energy of cuts like "Could Care Less" or "It Won't Be Long" is intoxicating. On every track of "Bronzed", Silverseed's sound is impressive. There are bands that have been together 3 times as long that cannot sound as together as these guys do.
"Bronzed" is a very fine debut, and more importantly a sign of great things to come from Silverseed. Check it out... you won't be sorry!
