| Hey Everyone! I'm FINALLY posting an update - I know it's been a while in coming. . . . but I've been so out of it this week, I haven't been able to make it upstairs until now. I finished my 2nd chemo treatment on Monday afternoon, but I haven't felt very well most of this week. Over the weekend, I was very tired and spent a lot of time sleeping, but that was really my only side effect to that point. Things seemed to hit me faster this time than they did last time. . . . . the fatigue set in faster over the weekend of treatment, the nausea set in earlier, etc. I've been VERY weak and very tired. I've had the bone and muscle aches that I had last time, too. Yesterday, I thought I would get up and take a shower while my Mother took Damon to school . . . . by the time I got out and dried off, I felt like I was going to pass out. I was just so very weak. But, the aches and pains seem to have passed as of this morning - although I continue to have a headache most of the day. I'm tired now, but not so weak that I can't walk (like I was most of the week.) The nausea has passed now, but I still have that nasty metallic taste in my mouth which gives me an adversion to food - I'm lucky to get just a few bites of any one thing down before pushing it away. From past experience, this will go away - but it takes time. My Mom came in this week, and has been here all week - so that was very helpful. She was able to drive Damon to and from school for me, fix meals, do laundry, etc. It's been a much needed break for Philip and I know he's LOVING having her here. . . . even if she is the "dreaded" mother-in-law! HA HA ! She weeded our flowerbeds for us, ran errands and all that helpful stuff - THANKS MOM! I'm getting tired now, so that's gonna be it - TTYL! CHRISTY HOME |
