I know it's been a while since I've posted, but I haven't had any new information to relay to you.
I had a PET Scan last week, and I've finally gotten the results back. A PET scan is similar to a CAT scan, just with better images. The Dr. said that the scan came back with ABSOLUTLEY NO signs of Cancer. They scanned me from head to toe, and there was nothing in my system.
As of now, I"m considered Cancer - Free !
I've started Radiation, and so far, there are no side effects. They told me that I probably wouldn't feel any effects until about week 4, but I only have 7 weeks - so that's not too bad.
I feel the best that I've felt since September. . . . . . so I'm actually taking on some "normal" duties. I can tell you, Philip is really hapy about that. I think we were both ready for some normalcy in our lives right about now.
.As I said in my last post, my hair has started to grow back. . . . but there's an AWFUL lot of WHITE HAIR !!!!!!! I hope more starts to grow that has color, but if not - I guess there's always hair color. It's like my hair was completely bleached.
On that note, I have to tell you that my hubby has some company in his AMUSEMENT at my hair growth. . . . . my father joined ranks with him the other week.
My FATHER told us that we should just take a picture of my head everyday - then when we're all said and done with this, we can flip through the pictures really fast. And, like a cartoon, we can all "watch Christy's hair grow".
Oh, HA HA - Isn't he funny ?!?! Of course, my hubby thought this was a "genious" idea.
*Sigh* At least they make me laugh !
Not much else going on right now - just really enjoying the break we have. I'll post more if there's anything that pops up.
