| Hello everyone! I have NEW information, so I thought I would pass it along. I don't have much time to type - so I'm just going to list them out for you . . . . . . sorry! 1) I have Chemo Treatment #5 tomorrow 2) Chemo Treatment #6 will be on Feb. 4 !!!!! Then it's time for a BREAK! 3) Radiation will most likely start around the first part of March. . . and last for 7 1/2 weeks. Radiation will make me tired - but not "chemo tired" . . . so it should be a breeze compared to what I've been doing. 4) (Here's the KICKER) . . . . Following Radiation, I have 3 treatments of chemo - NOT 6 !!!!! I was told that I could SKIP the "break", and just do the last 3 chemo treatments at the same time as Radiation, and get it all over with . . . . . but seeing as the intensity of the side effects will almost double, and seeing that during my bad week, I can't even drive as it is now - that would probably make me not even able to get out of bed - AND I would have to have someone drive me to my Radiation treatments EACH DAY during my bad week. Talk about burning some bridges! So, I've decided that as nice as it sounds to get this all over with ASAP, It would be better for everyone involved to just stick with the plan, and be happy with the fact that I only have 3 treatments following radiation. Then, I'll be looking at Reconstructive surgery - but that's the light at the end of my tunnel, so I'm REALLY looking forward to THAT surgery! Until next time ! CHRISTY HOME |
