Chasing Gavin
There's one beside you
Have you ever wondered,
If there's one beside you?
Those winged beings,
That stay close to you?
They gaze their eyes upon you,
As they flail their wings,
As they glance and look,
As they exalt and sing.
They guard you and watch you,
With their empathy and love.
Though you stay in the midst of danger,
They shield you from harm.
With their divine voices,
They whisper to your ears,
The virtues of compassion, love,
And everlasting peace.
With their consoling hands,
They teach you how to pray.
With those hands they aid you,
And cuddle you each day.
They unravel their wings,
To drift you away from your qualms,
With their strong, sturdy arms,
They hold you when you're down.
Have you ever wondered,
If there's one beside you?
Those winged beings,
That stay close to you?
You can hardly see them,
Though I know it's true,
That maybe, just maybe,
There's an angel beside you.
