IronHead:MathFlash

Features

MathFlash is a flashcard program intended for grades k thru 3.   Students click multiple choice buttons to input their answers rather than type in numbers creating a fun interface for younger students.  Teacher will find that K-grades can also use MathFlash as long as the student can use a mouse.

When students get the answer wrong, MathFlash automatically repeats the problem a changeable  predefined number of times.  To prevent predictable patterns,  repeats are performed randomly within the next  five questions.   If a student gets a certain problem right several times (user defined), MathFlash stops asking that problem.

Addition,  Subtraction, and multiplication are supported.   Students can work on any combination of numbers from 1 to 10  and in  Subtraction or  Addition Mode,  numbers from 11 to 20 are also available.   A timer shock clock can be set to challenge students.  The program will stop by any combination of maximum problems or  maximum time.

A table of results show the number of times a student got the answer right as will as wrong.  There is also a running tally to show the total score at all times.

The best feature of MathFlash is that its FREEWARE! (No Ad Banners, No Spyware, No Registration etc..)  You can distribute this program freely.  This program was written by a Math Tutor of 15 years experience for his own use.   I train my helpers to do math drills for me when I'm busy.   But many times, they are busy too!  This program has helped me at my center and I hope its useful for others

System requirements

Win98 , Visual Basic Runtime Libraries ( Available for free at most software websites ) .

How to Use

If the  Default settings are OK, then click Start.   To stop the program before completion click Pause.  To resume program click Start again.

Time:       program stops on MaxTime  regardless of MaxNumber.

Number: program stops on MaxNumber regardless of MaxTime.

4)  Set the Wrong menu to the number of times a problem is repeated if the student gets it wrong.  Set the Right menu to the number of time the program should repeat a problem before deciding the student knows the answer.   Set the TimeLimit  to how many seconds the student should have to answer each problem.
