 Yes, these are both
pitures of me, Warrior 7, dark and sinister in aspect. But that's hardly
the whole story. In the background of the picture on the left, for
instance, you can see many pictures of my family, sitting on the
mantleplace of the living room of the house I grew up in. I have a mother,
a father, two brothers, and six sisters surviving, and of course, some of
my siblings have delightful children of their own. It is a heart warming
and picturesque room full of memories of my childhood and family. We had
many a Christmas in that very room, many a reading of scriptures, many
family gatherings of good cheer. On the right you can see another picture
of me that shows my warm heartedness and goodwill.

You may wonder at my
sinister aspect. Well, I am Warrior 7, after all. But the truth is, I do
not always appear so sinister. As you may see in this picture, I am a
person of hope and meditation as much as a sinister entity of destruction.
Here I am seen in a more cheerful mood, as I appear sitting before the
elegent brushwork of these paintings. Certainly, even a Warrior must have
an appreciation of beauty, otherwise how could I discern the proper course
of action? What else is there to fight for, other than beauty and truth?
So I devote time to appreciating the beautiful, just as all of us
ought.

And of course, I
devote time to working in the real world, on my computer. It is here that
I write my stories and create these pages, as well as interacting with the
other writers that I meet at Hatrack River. Sometimes I am found doing
other things as well, such as hammering on the undercarriage of a
recalcitrant vehicle or walls of an unsightly building. In fact, I do a
lot of other things, like thinking of amazing inventions. And I also
occasionally interact with people in the real world, many of whom I have
found to be consistently friendly and cheerful. If you meet someone that
knows me, say hello to them! Of course, I can't list the names and
pictures of everyone I know, for a number of reasons, so just pretend,
when you meet someone new, that they are someone who knows me, and say
hello on my behalf.

Although I must admit that I have few enough
talents that are worthy of any particular mention, one skill that I feel
most inclined to display is my painting of miniature figures. As you can
see, these models are only an inch or so high, yet I find them quite
interesting and pleasing to the eye. And whenever I think that my lot in
life is very hard, I compare myself with the poor soul on the right. At
least I am not trapped in a hidious armored shell, even if our fates are
not otherwise too dissimilar.
