My Guns & Accessories

The Guns:

Below I will briefly describe my current paintball guns. To get other reviews of guns, I recommend the website www.pbreview.com but do be careful of people who just hate certain guns. For example, I never cared that much for Brass Eagles, not that many people like them...... haha  Most of them are accurate and they can be trusted.

Spyder Original (Classic)

Description:
The gun is all black and does not have the low pressure chamber as shown (I wish I had a scanner to show you some pics!!!). However, I put in a Star-Fire venturi bolt ($15) and a Bob Long expansion chamber ($50). I also put on a 14" rifled barrel ($75). This whole combination makes the gun pretty sweet. It shoots very accurate even with the velocity down at like 200fps. It's also pretty simple to take apart and clean.

Conclusion:
Great gun, but I think you should always replace the stock barrel and buy and expansion chamber because it gives you more shots out of your tank and keeps the CO2 from liquifying in your gun.

Description:
I bought this gun on eBay, which is why I have a picture. I have not done anything to it yet, but I am thinking about a new barrel because I think that is pretty much the best upgrade you can put on a paintball gun (don't quote me, it is only my opinion). The custom -molded grip is awesome! I was supposed to get a Shutter, but I thought I would get this first to see if I liked it because I have heard that some of the features on the Shutter are worthless, especially the stock barrel and expansion chamber. If I spend that kind of money, I don't want to have to spend even more to make it perform like it is supposed to.

Conclusion:
Well-worth what I paid for this gun. Great performance and great looks all in one. Bob Long should keep making these guns forever!!

The Accessories:

Below I will show you some of the accessories I have on my guns, or at least I bought for them (I bought a Daisy Red-Dot Sight but I never use it unless I am the snyper (I like Spyders too much....).

Gas

I use CO2 currently, and have since the start. I don't see what is wrong with it and how nitrogen could be so much better, but I have never tried it so I can't say it isn't worth it or anything. I do very much recommend that if you buy a CO2 tank, that you buy one with an on/off valve. Just spend the extra $10-15 because you waist a lot of gas unscrewing after each use if you frequently do not use the entire tank. (These two tanks have pin valves, but guess what the closest upgrade will be!!)

Before I bought my Bob Long Millenium, I used the very standard ViewLoader 200. I bought the Millenium and got a VL2000 9V hopper. I must say it has no trouble at all keeping up with my rate of fire, but as I get better I can see why they are so popular. For beginners, the VL200 is fine, but as you get better and learn how to correctly fire your gun fast, they are nice to have. They are a must if you have an electronic gun because VL200s would not be able to keep up with the incredible rate of fire the electronic guns have. Here is the one I have now, but with a hopper cover which is nice because it keeps the racket of the balls moving around down to the minimum and hides those bright-colored paintballs!

I currently have the JT Spectra Thermal goggle/mask combo. This is a sweet combo, especially with the visor because it keeps that bright sun down to a minimum!! There isn't much to say about a mask because as long as it covers your face and eyes its fine. This is more of a money or fasion dilemma...
