The Third Generation era of Camaros lasted only ten short years (1982-1992), because in my opinion, this was probably the best ten years of the Camaro's life (that is if it "dies" in 2002). Enough of my opinion.... The engines ranged from the rediculous 2.5 Litre I-4 which lasted from 1982-1986, to the huge 5.7 Litre which debuted in Third Gens in 1987. Go here for the more detailed information because not everyone understands "car-talk". (I didn't until about two years ago when I fell in love with Camaros.) For the new era of the famous pony car (1982), the Indianapolis 500 announced that the Camaro would be the Official Pace Car for the 1982 race. Go here to see a picture of one. There were also other special edition Camaros inlcuding the 1LE Camaro and the G92 Camaro. For the 25th Anniversary of the Camaro, a special edition Camaro became available. The Z03 Heritage Edition Camaro became available. More information is coming, along with more pictures.
