| Vachi was our first registered Shetland. He was purchased from Grace Note Pony Farm (Grace Wuthrich) from TX. We saw him showing in halter and driving as a two year old at the 2006 Area V National show in Shawnee, OK and by the time the show was over, we were hooked on Shetlands and Vachi came home to OK. Grace had done an awesome job training him to drive. His two year old year I drove him in local parades, at church functions and also showed him in halter and in driving at the fall ASPC shows. We got serious with the showing in 2007 and Vachi spent a lot of time on the road showing. He was shown halter by L & M Equine Services (Leah Johnson of TX) and I showed him in the foundation country pleasure driving classes and Jada showed him in costume and youth halter. All of the showing paid off, with Vachi winning Congress Champion foundation model gelding in 2007 and also completing his foundation halter hall of fame in 2007. He helped me win high point amateur for the ASPC/AMHR Shetland division and he won six National all-star champions and three reserve champion National all-stars. This fun little pony is also ridden by Jada on the ranch and is happy to move cows around or ride through ditches with her. He will continue to be shown in foundation country pleasure driving and used for riding. |
