In this night and in this hour we call upon the ancient power. May the Olde Ones grant us wisdom. May those we summon guide us. May we achieve all goals. And May the God and Goddess be served! So mote it be!

3. Invoke the elements and purify the area. (Beginning in the West and proceeding counterclockwise. Use invoking pentagram)

I Invoke the element of Water! By the powers of Water I cleanse this area that it may be made sacred and pure.

I Invoke the element of Fire! By the powers of Fire I cleanse this area that it may be made sacred and pure.

I Invoke the element of Air! By the powers of Air I cleanse this area that it may be made sacred and pure.

I Invoke the element of Earth! By the powers of Earth I cleanse this area that it may be made sacred and pure.

As above, so below. This dark Circle is now sealed!

As the Moon is dark, the Blessed Mother is veiled. We feel the power of the Dark Goddess, for she is part of every Witch. She is the Darkness within the Light. She is Death that brings regeneration. She is the aged Crone at the end of Motherhood. We beseech you Dark Goddess, that we may feel your presence and wisdom. We have need of your power.

6. Banishing-begin in the West and proceed counter clockwise.

West-Remove all negative energies from our emotions Dark Mother. Let them bare no fruit in our lives!

South-Remove all negative energies from our spirits Dark Mother. Let them bare no fruit in our lives!

East-Remove all negative energies from our minds Dark Mother. Let them bare no fruit in our lives!

North– Remove all negative energies from our bodies Dark Mother. Let them bare no fruit in our lives!

We call unto you Dark Mother, Dame Hel, Queen of the Underworld. Come to us in benevolence that we may seek your help. We accept no negative thoughts, words or deeds from others. All negativity around us in now destroyed by the power of Dame Hel. If any negative energy comes from within us, may it then be transformed into positive thoughts and deeds. Help us Dark One, to move beyond the negative things that hold us back.

Write down on slips of paper what you would release to the Dark Mother for banishment. Read what is written and cast them into the cauldron one at a time.

Burn everything thoroughly and know that it has been taken away or transformed by the Dark Goddess.

(This is best done outdoors due to the smoke involved)

To Dame Hel and all the Gods! We are eternally grateful for your blessings and assistance. May we remain ever close to you as you will surely remain ever by our sides! Blessed Be!

(Drink and offer a libation to the Goddess)

11. Bid Farwell to the Dark Mother-stand in front of the cauldron

Mighty Hel, dark and powerful one, we are humbly grateful for your presence tonight. May your energies now be peacefully released to the western quarter.

(scatter the cooled ashes to the west)

Use banishing pentagram.
