| "They Said" |
| Long ago I was left Forgotten, bleeding Heartbroken Scarred for life - That's what they said Never again. I believed And shut myself away Holed up in agony For awhile. The wound cracked open From time to time My antipathy slowly drained With the blood. I found myself Healing, Wanting another chance So I emerged From my self-imposed ignorance To find the sun shining high The birds singing On trees higher than I could ever imagine. Scarred for life - That's what they said Never again I did |
