Day 1

A man has been murdered in Santa Monica. We are currently investigating. Here is what we know...

* Victim (Robert Blake) was male and found dead by his wife when she came home after walking her dog.

* He was shot with a .45 caliber double action pistol. Weapon found but without fingerprints. A silencer was used to mask the shot/s.

* A single shell believed to be that which caused the fatal blow was found under a desk in the study.

* He owned his own business, served in the military, has a wife and a dog.

* Lives on Ocean Blvd. Entry to house was gained by an unlocked window in the study in the front of the house.

* Robert was court-marshalled and dishonorably discharged from the army for stealing hi-teach military equipment for re-sale. His CO at the time, Scott Mitchell, was also involved and received the same punishment

* It has also been revealed that Scott Mitchell and Mrs Blake were having an affair..

* News Flash! Mrs Blake was found murdered by Lieutenant Callaway in the afternoon of the same day as her husband's murder. A SKS or M-14 shell was found on the floor near the body.

* Scott Mitchell was arrested and taken into custody.

* Lieutenant Callaway was sitting on the beach outside Sergeant McNamara's house late last night when he was attacked from behind by a man identified as Stuart McGrady.

Day 2

* The bail for Scott Mitchell was paid at 4 am by another unkown male yet not the same one that attacked Lieutenant Callaway. The man was believed to be a friend of the accused.

* Shortly after being released from custody, Scott Mitchell was murdered. His throat was slit and he was stabbed 5 times in the chest.

* The friend of Scott Mitchell is being investigated as he may know something about the string of murders that have been happening in Santa Monica. The unit has decided that if questioned, the man will be placed in protective custody for his own safety.

* The database has been deleted and a virus set so that it cannot be retrieved easily.

* The man who bailed out Scott Mitchell has been identified as Nigel Claude. He was interrogated and put in protective custody on the east side of Santa Monica.

* Nigel Claude was the inventory clerk in the army. He served with Robert Blake and knew about the affair between Mrs Blake and Scott Mitchell. He also knew about the arms dealings but does not know who was involved. This seems suspicious because of his job as the inventory clerk. Claude claims that Mitchell did not seem the type to steal weapons.

* During the interrogation, Claude informed the officer that Mitchell was working for a man named 'Richard' but was unsure of the surname. He said that Richard would call Mitchell and Blake when he needed a 'job' done although Claude was also unsure of the type of work being carried out yet was able to testify that Mitchell and Blake were paid high amounts to carry out this work. Also, Richard is a wealty man and a suspected drug dealer. He also spends most of his time at a near by golf course.

* After talking to the golf club desk clerk it was found out that Richard Simms lives in a mansion at 238 Ocean Boulevard. He plays frequent games of golf with Mitchell and Blake.

* A new database has been created and it is up and running, monkeys and all. The creator is also helping to track down the hacker.

* Nigel Claude has met his untimely end and his shooter is yet to be apprehended. Kelly and McNamara went to the crime scene to investigate.

* Forensics found a partial thumb print.

* The source of the hacking was traced back to the residence of Richard Simms. This gave enough evidence for McNamara to obtain a search warrant of Richard Simms residence.

* Del Toro used the updated computer files to find that Richard Simms had been tried for murder on two separate occasions but had been aquited both times due to a sneaky lawyer. The victims were business aquaintance and were apparently killed over a financial conflict. A .45 caliber pistol was used in both shootings.

* McNamara obtained the warrant and she and Kelly went to search the Simms residence for clues to the recent string of crimes. They met with the butler and a rather reluctant Mr Simms.

* The software program C++ was found on Richard Simms computer which can be used for hacking. Also, incriminating evidence was found in the temp files of the computer. Simms claimed that it must have been the work of his son-in-law who frequently uses the computer for work that he brings from his software company.

* Chris found Richard Simms palm pilot in another room. Among the addresses were Robet Blake, Scott Mitchell, the golf club and Lieutenant Callaway. Upon questioning about the latter address, Richard Simms refused to answer and informed the officers that his son-in-law, one Teddy Callaway, is a more likely suspect.
