Just For you
On The Holidays
There is not much of a nuclear family or extended family in your life? Well, don't feel left out. Here are some prime examples of things the lonely do for the holiday dinner. Now that you are on your own and no where near a family, try going out to dinner at a local church. It's a great place to meet great people. Avoid like the plague the older woman at the door who thinks that the church and the world is hers. There's one in every church. The food is good, and you can even adopt a surrogate Mom. Afterwards, if you don't eat too much, you can visit a local bar and watch the games with a bunch of other lonely numbered cards who for some reason have a way of making you forget all of your troubles. Then go home and turn on Te Veka,, Luther and get a copy of "At Last" by Christina Aguliera. Then follow step 3 in the following passage. If you're alone, just lie there thinking about how fortunate you are to live in a world that's free of distractions, people who hurt, and responsibilities for this period of time in your life and you will cherish every single moment thanking the power that is for granting you this moment in time.
BAKINGFORONE
ON THE HOLIDAYS
My daughter, Consuela, The portrait on the left was my first painting of her.  I painted the  one on the right  last year.
I thought about baking a big turkey. I don't believe in eating pork. So, this Christmas, I am not going to eat ham. Homebaked, honey-glazed Turkey ham with potato salad, green beans, a smooth jell-o and fruit salad. A homebaked apple pie with cinnamon glaze and a tall bottle of Welches Sparkling White grape Juice. I'm going to Bake my ham outside on my roaster after I do the preliminary bake. Next I'm going to have a Southern picnic with my daughter in the yard. I'm going to blast my stereo and I may even celebrate my new holiday, SAFA single and free again
I have some champagne glasses that were give to me when the bridal shop over me closed. I even have some bows, flowers, and a table cloth. I think I will even call up a few of my internet buddies and wish them a happy holiday. I may even take my closest cyber buddies through the virtual zone for a few minutes just to remind myself that I am missing nothing at all. I'm going to hook up my Karaoke and sing my favorite songs because I am a singer. I love to write.
What's new?   I just started producing music for a hobby.  I have also started doing vlogs.   Video blogs for my online buddies who hate to read.

I get a kick out of going to local churches on the twelve days before Christmas. I love the homemade nativity plays. The cute kids, and the roving eyes of christian hubbies on their way to the clubs while the wife is working. One of my favorite things to do in December is cook. I love cookbooks, recipes, and gifts for the entire family. However, my favorite thing to do is to make cakes and decorate them. Recently, I learned to paint, as you learned a few years back.  I made a vlog featuring some of the most recent paintings.  I will let you know how to find them later..

I love December weddings. I get to add a touch of color to the designs. I love to do the pastries and I love to Bake honey glazed hams. I don't eat them because of personal beliefs, but, I love to make tasty salads and cruise the news and entertainment section for a pleasant way to spend an otherwise ambiguous evening.

Things that Go Bump in theNight
Holidays are special because you get to spend time with your family and loved ones. However, what about you? With all the family in and out of the house, the kids jumping all over everything and celebrating being out of school, and parents popping in and out with well meaning but heard before advice, when does a person find time for themselves? Here are some tips for having time to love yourself on the holidays by someone who knows the importance of taking the time to know yourself.

1.) Send the kids packing to the closest neigbors' homes. Make sure that they take lunch and food for snacks. That way they wont keep calling to come home If parents persist in visiting, send the kids to the parents for the weekend. Send toys with them.

3) Alone at last, draw up a large bubble bath. Place the champagne, (Welches' Sparkling grape juice if you're a tea tottler like me) in an ice basket surrounded by grapes. Squeeze lemon juice and Aromatic bath oil into the bath. Turn on your tape of me singing I still want you Even Christians aren't offended by that song of love. Then invite your loved one to join you in a bath game of truth or dare..
2.) Pour out a giant bath in fragrant oils and perfumes. I suggest strawberries or peaches for scents.
3.) Small votive candles-I prefer I prefer battery powered, placed around the bath tub if you have that type.
4.Music, I suggest Allbecauseofyouby Marques Houston, or Jazz by Ramsey Lewis. Rod Stewart singing the oldies would be nice.
5.) Turn off the phone. Relax. Invite your husband or significant other over for a candle-lit dinner.
6.) Play a good video and enjoy your time together.
