An emulator is required to run any rom...or iso in the case of playstation games. Each system probably has its corresponding emulator by now except at least playstation 2 which is still in the works. The ones responsible for that emulator is the PCSX crew but i admit that even if it's the only working PS2 emulator around, it's still not powerful and compatible enough to run games so just watch out for more updates. There are so much emulators for each system but pL!pcute has made your decision-makings much more easier for you. Here we may offer less than other sites, it's a fact i must say but i must live up to the name of the site and expectations of those chosen ones who drop by here from time to time to visit and even take some of their precious time to post and that is to provide you only the best of the best of the best. Here's a collection of the emulators best fit for you devoted navigators to use.

No$gmb For Windows Registered Version
*** Supports Multi-player Mode; Supports Gameshark and Gamegenie Cheat Codes; Enables saving and/or loading of snapshots; Compatible to almost all gameboy/gameboy color games and unlike the unregistered ones, this version doesn't run out of colors ***

No$gmb For Dos Registered Version
*** Supports Multi-player Mode; Supports Gameshark and Gamegenie Cheat Codes; Enables saving and/or loading of snapshots; Compatible to almost all gameboy/gameboy color games and unlike the unregistered ones, this version doesn't run out of colors; Has a slightly better performance and compatibility than the windows version ***

TGB Dual
*** Supports 2-player mode; Supports Gameshark Codes; Can save and/or load states; Can load two different roms at a time; Supports roms in its zipped form ***

G a M e B o Y A d V a N c E

Visual Boy Advance
*** Supports Gameshark, Gamegenie and even has its very own cheat codes; Can import and/or export battery file saves and/or Gameshark cheat codes; Provides automatic ips patching (though I suggest you do it on your own); Enables saving and/or loading of states; Can take snapshots; Supports roms in its zipped form; Simply the most compatible gameboy advance emulator around ***

Visual Boy Advance (Lower Version)
*** This version, though low, can run Dragon Ball Legacy Of Gokou (as reviewed by myself and the gbxemu crew) unlike the other lower or higher versions. Well, this is probably the most essential part why i put this thing up ****

Probably all gameboy advance emulators could load a gameboy/gameboy color rom but definitely not the other way around...click away!...(--,)

S e G a m E g A d R i V e

Gens
*** Supports Gamegenie cheat codes; Can save and/or load states...honestly speaking, i'v heard much about Genecyst but i insist on this one because it works for me so it should most probably work on you since the computer I'm using is jacked up ***

S u P e R n E s (s N E s)

Zsnes
*** Supports cheat codes; Can save and/or load states; Enables playing/rewinding/recording of games; Enables a modem to modem mode of play ***

Snes9x is another respectable emulator for this system so if you have the time to "google" around, then go check it out too...click away!...(--,)

Connectix Virtual Game Station
*** Automatic detecting and loading of games in the CD ROM drive (in case you have more than one CD ROM, the default CD ROM drive); Can create as much memory card as your hard disk can hold; Everything else works like a normal playstation except for one factor...you have to sacrifice a bit of the graphical art of the game for its speed ***

Epsxe
*** Arguably the best emulator around with its only downfall having to be its high requirements and multiple configurations and files needed; Can save and/or load states; Can either load a playstation iso file or a playstation cd itself; Can perform cheats (provided you have the right plug-ins or files) ***

p L a Y s T a T i O n 2

Pcsx
*** Still in the works but probably the only and closest one to date; Cannot run games yet so it's up for you to risk it and give it a try ***

In reality, a playstation 2 system can play any playstation game but definitely not the other way around, just like in the gameboy/gameboy color and gameboy advance scenario. Now I'm not so sure if the Pcsx crew can come up with a finished blockbuster product that can load playstation cd's or isos too...click away!...(--,)
