| Father Charles Goldsmith, the "boy priest" of Chippewa Falls in the late 19th Century. Senator Tom Hogan speaks glowingly about him in the Letter to My Children, and you can also read what the historical marker near the chapel named for him in Chippewa Falls says. He was born in Rochester, NY in 1846 to John Goldsmith, born in Germany, and his wife Madeline, born in France. John worked as a furnaceman and his other children were John, Catherina, Louisa and Mary. |
