Willard Bunn, Sr. was the husband of Ruth Regan Bunn (Margaret Hanrahan, Mary Rose Hogan, Patrick and Johannah Hogan): Willard Bunn Sr., 71, Dies Suddenly Willard Bunn Sr., president and treasurer of the Bunn Capitol Co. and long an active citizen of Springfield, died unexpectedly at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the residence, 2101 Willemore. He had been under the care of a physician but was not bedfast. He was 71 years old. The body is at the Thomas C. Smith Sons Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. He is survived by his wife, Ruth, three sons, (private), Willard Jr., and John, all of Springfield, two daughters, (private) and Mrs. Joseph Boynton of Phoenix, Ariz. and 13 grandchildren. He also leaves a brother, George W. Bunn Jr. of Springfield. Mr. Bunn was born July 14, 1888 in Springfield. He was the son of George W. and Ada Richardson Bunn. In addition to heading the Bunn Capitol company, he was a director of the Marine Bank, the Sangamo Electric Co. and the Central Illinois Public Service Co. He was a veteran of World War I. He was a past president of the Springfield Chamber of Commerce and a past director of the Illinois Chamber of Commerce. OBITUARIES HOME |
