| Philip Manning Dayton was a Vietnam veteran and a great-great-grandson of Patrick and Johanna Hogan through their son John, his son Thomas, and his daughter Maureen: DAYTON, Philip Manning, 49 - a long time resident of Santa Fe and a previous resident of Rodeo and Corona, New Mexico passed away Thursday at the Veterans' Hospital in Albuquerque, NM from lung cancer. Mr. Dayton was born to Maureen F. Dayton on January 25, 1941 in Mountainair, NM. He was self-employed and a member of the VFW. He also was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in Vietnam with the Artillery Corp from 1971 to 1972 and was decorated with numerous medals for outstanding service. Mr. Dayton is survived by his mother, Maureen Dayton of Santa Fe; brothers, (private); a sister, (private); nieces and nephews, (private). He is also survived by a beloved friend, (private). Visitation will be held on Monday, October 8, 1990 at Berardinelli Mortuary beginning at 3:00 pm with a rosary recited at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at St. Francis Cathedral at 10:00 am with interment following at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Arrangements are through Berardinelli Mortuary.
