| From the Aberdeen Daily World, Tuesday, May 1, 1973. Kathryn Lyle Hogan was a grand-daughter of Patrick and Johannah through their son John and his son John Carol: Kathryn L. Hogan Kathryn L. Hogan, 80, died at a local hospital yesterday. She had resided at Cohassett Beach. She was a life-long Aberdeen resident, having been born here Dec. 2, 1892. She was the daughter of John C. Hogan, a prominent Harbor attorney. She attended National Park Seminary in Washington, D.C. and the University of Washington. She worked for the Grays Harbor Washingtonian as city reporter in the 1920s. In 1936 she began a popular column called Kitchen Critic, published weekly in the Grays Harbor Post from 1936 to 1954. She also founded a florist shop in the Elks building. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. R. G. (Mary) Pengra, Cohassett Beach; one son, John E. Hogan, also of Cohassett Beach; a sister, Mrs. Mary Ward Jacobs, Corona Del Mar, Calif.; one granddaughter, Molly Pengra, Bellevue; one grandson, Michael John Hogan, Cohassett Beach; one cousin, Giles Hogan, North Bay, Wash.; two nieces, Mrs. William (Mary) Bosschart, Hillsborough, Calif., and Mrs. Max (Mary) Miller, Newport Beach, Calif.; two nephews, Robert B.
