Summary: Leo enjoys his new toy! Will he share?
Note: Hopefully, my muse is trying to return with this small fic! It has been stuck in my head, since before Christmas and demanded to be written!

One evening, just after the New Year, for once they are home early. Margaret is happily humming to herself in the kitchen, after peeping to check on Leo in the living room.
He's looking very unlike his usual workaholic self, just calmly, quietly, listening to music by wearing his new headphones. In his relaxed enjoyment, with eyes closed, he's smiling softly, very content with his world at this time.
Josh arrives at the door and enters unannounced, since Margaret had buzzed him into the elevator area downstairs, just a few minutes ago. Before he can get fully into the main room, Margaret waylays him from the kitchen doorway. “Leo's finely relaxing for a while. Is it work? If not, would you like a bite to eat or coffee for a few minutes?”
Josh looks around her into the living room and grins, both at seeing Leo stretched out on the couch in such an uncommon state of inactivity and happy that Leo is actually enjoying some real downtime. This is much needed in all of their lives, due to their place of employment.
With this thought, Josh moves to tease his friend and mentor.
“No you don't Josh! I promised him 30 minutes of uninterrupted peace.” Margaret warns, knowing how the two of them are together.
Josh grins at her with a touch of mischief still winkling in his eyes. “Thirty whole minutes? All to himself? No one is asking him to don his red cape and save the world?"
Margaret can see that Josh is in his rare punchy happy mood. She switches her line of sight from Josh's smiling face, to Leo's relaxed one, noting that Leo's worry lines may actually be less at this moment. "No cape, just his new Bose headset ...and his feet up off the floor.
“Bose? How long has he made it so far?” Josh has a wicked curve to his dimples now.
“Twenty minutes and still counting,” she puts a light warning hand to Josh's arm, knowing that it's a useless attempt.
“Bose headset,” Josh whispers to him self, since he has her totally tuned out at the thought of a new tech toy.
He swiftly moves to Leo's side and chuckles to see the look of complete bliss on Leo's face. "Hey Leo, I see Margaret has you confined to the couch again.” When Leo doesn't even crack an eyelid at his taunt, Josh's face gets a quick look of bewilderment on it that just tickles Margaret into giggles from her viewpoint of the kitchen pass-thru window.
Josh gives her a questioning glance and then a grinchy grin appears to replace it, as he bends over and lifts out one earcup of the headset and softly teases, "Just goofing off listening to music are you?"
Not even opening his eyes at the interruption to his down time, Leo raises a hand to touch Josh's and gently replaces the earcup back to his ear, then rumbles back with his relaxed voice, "Damn straight! With my new 'total' noise canceling headphones," he adds with a gloating smirk, to get a little payback at Josh.
Josh rises slightly to catch Margaret's delighted face, "total silence?” He glances back down to Leo's satisfied smirk and still closed eyes. "Damn, I work too much. They have total silence headphones now and Bose has them?"
Margaret just nods to affirm his discovery and ads, "If you may notice, …by following the extended long cord from the headphones, to behind you on the entertainment center, Leo decided to get a new Bose CD system for in here ...and while he was online ordering it, he had a weak moment and indulged himself and got the headset as well."
Josh bends over again and carefully lifts the earphone from Leo's ear again, “Do you plan on sharing your new toy, Leo?”
Leo smirks, “Nope!” Never opening an eye to judge Josh's reaction, but to himself, he's loving jerking Josh's rope.
Josh's face shows shock at Leo firm answer. Still holding out the earcup, so Leo hears him, Josh exclaims, “Leo, that's cruel!”
Leo rumbles out again, like he is being disturbed, as he settles the earcup back in place and snuggles more comfortably on the couch, “Why should I? When your own are over on the table.”
As Josh pops up to look, Leo hesitates a beat, then adds, “Right on top of the box with your new Bose Acoustic Wave system ll. I might add!”
Already in motion, Josh freezes to look back at Leo to see if he's teasing him.
Leo sits up enough, propped on his elbow, to look around at Josh with a huge grin and lifts an earcup out with his free hand, “I did indulge in getting each of us the optional 5-CD changer to go with the new systems.”
“Oh wow, Leo! This is awesome! You do know how to spoil us both,” Josh exclaims, as he lifts the box containing the headphones, to check out the top of the system's box. “Thanks so much, Leo!”
Leo makes one late jerk on Josh's rope for his own entertainment, “Wonder if I should go back online and get us the Companion 5 speaker system to go with them? Just to start the New Year right!” He lies back down and replaces the earcup, with a satisfied smirk on his face. He so loves messing with Josh.
Josh looks questioningly at Margaret, “How many more minutes are left and do you think I should go boot up his computer, while I wait?” Josh has plans for Leo now!
Margaret just laughs and points to the quest room where Leo's computer is. She knows that in the near future her living room is going to be the recipient of a new sound system installed by Josh. He will only have to decide which system to install first, Leo’s or his own. One night soon, Josh may be losing more sleep than usual, trying to do both at once.
Josh misses the amused gleam in Leo's eyes, as he watches Josh make a fast exit to the start up the computer with his new headphones box under his arm. Just to keep him busy, till Leo's relaxing time is up.
Seems there's no rest for the wicked this evening!!!!
