Corporal Jaime Smith, a Ranger, was hit bad in the leg, which caused a wounded artery and massive bleeding. Smith was taken under shelter to be cared for by Delta medic Schmid. His life depended on the arrival of the rescue convoy that wouldn't come in time. Despite the constant attempts of Schmid to save him, Smith died from loss of too much blood.
