Abdullahi "Firimbi" Hassan was the propaganda minister for Aidid. Captive Mike Durant was taken to Firimbi for ten out of the eleven days Durant was held captive. Communicating through Latin and Spanish, Durant and Firimbi became allies. Treating Durant with care, Firimbi made Durant promise to tell of his kindness when Durant was released.
