Chief Warrant Officer Donovan Briley, or as he was known as, "Bull," was the co-pilot of the first downed Black Hawk, Super Six One. Briley, as well as pilot Cliff Wolcott, died on impact from the explosion of an RPG hitting the tail of their bird. The Black Hawk spun furiously before hammering, nose first, into the ground then landing on its left side. Ranger and Delta forces immediately fled to the site to rescue any survivors and recover the body of Bull.
