Welcome back carvers, another year is beginning and it is good to see our carving friends again.
Al Lilgreen called the meeting to order. The first order of business was the purchase of a new sharpener for the club. Don Angelbeck made the motion to go ahead and buy one .Ken Morgan seconded the motion. Don will place the order.
Audrey Schmaltz is not coming to Texas this year due to health problems. Sam Wilson is going to step in for her by taking care of the name tags and dangles for this year.
Don Angelbeck has set up a web site for the Chip o Tex carving club. On this web site you can find out about the show for this year as well details from last years show. Also minutes from our club meetings. There is a members page (Don can help you with supplying him with information for the members page),also pictures of your carvings can be displayed there. Don Angelbeck will start collecting this years dues the first week of December. $5.00 for members and $1.00 for spouse. Club caps will also be on sale at that time for $2.00.
Plans were discussed for a meal out for card carrying members of chip o tex at a later date.
