Treasurer Don Angelbeck gave a report. Attendance at the show was down about 400 to 500 people. We are ahead $450.00 after expences from the carving show and auction. There was $954.00 spent for the dinner at $7.95 a plate. We have a balance of $6176.97 in our check book. Don stated that the rent is going to go up for Casa De Amistad next year but we still don�t have to pay extra for insurance as it is included in the cost of the rent. There may be a loss next year, it was discussed whether we should raise the cost at the door. We need at least $3000.00 in our account to start arrangements for the show. So it was decided to leave things as they are until we do begin to show a loss.
Hank Mossman asked that every one that helped with the show give the person you helped your name so there can be a list made in case we need experienced help next year. It will help the next show chairman also. The judge for next year is being worked on, there is a possability that there could be a seminar held for carvers to help with the expences for the judge. We do have Dr. Steve Schoolar for the 2008 show.
Election of officers for the next year was held ,a motion was made to keep the officers already in office if they would agree to take another term. All agreed so it was passed. Your officers again are President Al Lilgreen�.Vice President LeRoy Venn�..Treasurer Don Angelbeck�.Secretary Roxy Valtinson�. Show Chairman Hank Mossman�.Sam Wilson agreed to be Assistant show Chairman but not to move into Show Chairman the next year.
Marie Donais and Shirley Ketchum will be the SunShine committee. If you know of a member that is sick or has passed away please let one of them know so a card can be sent from the club.
Ken Morgan will be Membership Chairman with Ernie Cote as his assistant. Thank you everyone that took a new office. It will make our club better than ever.
Classes or catagories for the show were discussed and it was decided that Hank can make some of these changes at the time of the show if there is a large amount of class projects or rough outs in a particular category.
Bob Gangnon complimanted this years officers on the best year yet.
There will be a picture booth next year at the show so we can get some of those publishable pictures from our show in Chip Chats. Be sure to check out our website to see some of the pictures of the carvings from this years show.
