Meeting Minutes
March 1, 2007

The meeting was called to order by President Al Lilgreen on February 27. He reported that we make $648.00 on the wood carvers auction, it was much better than last year. This money was turned over to Park Place for the use of the building. Old Business   there was none.

New Business
It was suggested that we raise the admission to the show to $2.00. This will be discussed again when we know about the cost of insurance during the 2 days of the show. Don Angelbeck made a motion and Al Cowley seconded that we check with Ron Hensen to get information about the Insurance for the days of the show.

Nominations for President were opened, Sam Wilson declined.  Eb Baxter was nominated and accepted the position. LeRoy Venn agreed to take the Vice President position again. Secretary will be Rose Smith. Treasurer is Ken Morgan, he will be the first signer and Don Angelbeck will be the secondary signer. Show Chairman will be chosen by the President and Vice President. Thank you to the new officers for taking these jobs and also the people staying in their place. We appreciate your willingness to keep the club going.

Al Lilgreen asked that the club give Bill Mills $25 for the work he has done this year sharpening tools for all of us. All agreed.
Al Lilgreen also asked that Sam Wilson be reimbursed some of his cost for taking judge Ray North and party out for dinner during the weekend of the carving show.

Hank Mossman explained the duties of the Show Chairman he has made a book with all the duties listed by date to make the show happen. Hank put a lot of work into this book so anyone should be able to step into this job. Remember there are many club members that will help when asked.

Audrey Schmaltz made a motion to adjourn.

Sam Wilson added that we should all remember that people need to be thanked for the jobs they do, much of it behind the scenes. Just remember to be appreciative of the jobs that get done and offer your assistance when you can. We all like to hear a THANK YOU.
See you all in the fall, keep carving and travel safely.
