March 11, 2008 Minutes
The meeeting of the Chip O Tex carvers was   called to order on  March 11,2008 by President Eb Baxter. He thanked Al Lilgreen for bringing the small cut outs for the carvers and for all the other cut outs he does for the club. Al Lilgreen thanked the group for all the finished work   donated for the give aways during the show, we gave away more this year than the   last year.  Sam Wilson also was recogised for the angels he carves and gives   away.   The cost of the building for the show will go up   to $2200 next year and we will have insurance also at a cost of $750,so the   price to get into the show next year will go up to $2.00. This was voted on and   approved.

LeRoy Venn has accepted the position of  President for next year.
Vice President will be Wallace Prukop, nominated  by Don Angelbeck
Show Chairman will be Al Crowley .   Secretary Rosie Smith   Treasurer Ken Morgan    Name Tags will be takn care of by Audrey  Schmaltz.

Carvings being entered for Judging,Show table set up, Distributing
advertising for the show and Tickets. The show will be February  13 and 14 2009 at Casa   De Amistad from 9 to 4 both days.

Ken Morgan gave the treasurers report. Income   from the show was $3402.51 Cost of the show was $3344.00 with a profit of
$90.51.  As of 3/11/08 we have $6563.81 with cash on hand at $214.00 bringing a   total to $6777.81.  Ken was thanked for a good job.

Don Angelbeck reminded us to remember the web   site.   Send Don up to 10 of your photos of your carvings with your name so they can be   posted on the site. Send to Chip_O_Tex@yahoo
