Continuing its longstanding commitment to philanthropy, Chi Omega
has established an alliance with the Make-A-Wish Foundation®
to provide a common goal for every Chi Omega collegiate and alumnae
chapter through community service. Chi Omega chapters, collegiate
and alumnae will support the Make-A-Wish Foundation through
volunteering, fund raising, and special events across the United
States.
Whether it is through wish granting,
administrative support, special event participation, or other
programs, Chi Omega collegians have the opportunity to complement
their academic endeavors with community service by volunteering with
their local Make-A-Wish® chapters.
Additionally, alumnae members have unique opportunities with their
local chapters in their communities. Since the program’s inception
in 2002, Chi Omega chapters have volunteered more than 20,000 hours
with their local chapters.
Last year, the Lambda Alpha chapter of Chi Omega at the University
of Kentucky was awarded the "Just Wish For It"
award, recognizing our chapter for raising the most money out of all
Chi Omega chapters in the state of Kentucky.
