PRESSED

A long way off from where I'd like
Not nearly enough to quit the ride
But waiting's not as easy
As the urgency in desperation

The clock is hanging
Time is changing
Everything I've always known
Soon I'll end up only fading
How do I let go?

Pressed and hard wired to the feelings
Exhausted unwanted hate
I'm reeling

Driven I am unwound and bound
To break it all down to the sound
Lift myself up before I drown
Open my eyes but not to look down

Forget all I think I know
Everthing is bound to go
Now away and not unseen
Retraceable between the seams

Pressed and hard wired to the feelings
Exhausted but pushing the hate
I'm dealing

The air is almost still
Almost enough to break the will
A realization swells inside
Of why I throw away the pride
So I'm still here
None requested sympathy
I'm pushing away the fear
And now I find identity
