ONE WORD

Can you tell what's missing
Does something seem misplaced
I'm out of source and wishing
I could reset the pace
Your words have just grown cold
And these thoughts are getting old
Like everything around me
Is this so hard to see

Can you push me
Push me away
And are you empty
Is this how it stays

I just want you to hear me
You don't have to say one word
Not one word

From this side of the line
It doesn't seem that strange to me
Resistance to the pride
Is practice, like anything
If truth could only say
What your words just can't portay
With everything around me
It's not that hard to see

Can you push me
Push me away

I just want you to hear me
You don't have to stay

And are you empty
Is this how it stays

I just want you to hear me
You don't have to say one word
Not one word
Not one word
