Arvin's Diet
Arowana's need a lot of food. While they're still young, arowana's can be picky eaters but once they start growing they'll get use to the food you give them and soon they will eat anything. A varied diet is the best.

Food people give Arowanas :

Crickets - Be sure it doesn't have insecticides
Shrimp - Contains protein and enhances color to fish.
Chilchid Pellets - A must in your arowanas diet. Contains vitamins and nutritious ingredients.
Live fish - Guppies/Kataba and Goldfish are what they usually eat. But they are VERY FATTY!!
Tetra Krill - Rich in protein
Beefheart - Chickenheart is less fatty
Earthworms - Mealworms and Bloodworms will also do.
Mice
FoodSticks
Tetra Krill-E
Tetra Jumbo Min

Choose tankmates wisely because this fish can develop a nasty attitude as it gets older. Tankmates might be "seen" as meals. It is the "King of the Aquarium". The fossil records indicate this fish has been around for many years, dating back to prehistoric ages. Like the shark or alligator it's characteristics have not changed much, indicating that this is a species that was near perfect. Own one and you will see why.(Ed's Tank)
