When did you start doing pageants and how many have you done?
This is my fifth year. I started in the Miss America system, I did that for four years and I placed runner up in all of those
at the state level. I ran for Miss Hawaii USA in the Miss USA system once and was very lucky to win it.
What are your expectations here?
My expectation for myself is to really do my best. It includes working out even late at night or early in the morning and do my diet. Even though there's always these lovely desserts for us to eat. But really it's to stay committed to my purpose of
being here and also having fun with it.
So you're on a diet, what is one thing you can't help but grab and eat?
It has to be chocolate, they always serve us a wide variety of desserts and there's always some kind of chocolate. That's my
weakness. In Hawaii that's all I eat, I love the chocolate covered macadamia nut.
Who do you think is your fiercest competitor here?
I think everyone is great competition. I don't really notice that for myself. I don't really look at that. I think everyone's
competition we always have to put our best foot forward.
What is your closest friends here?
Miss Montana, she's my good friend. Also Miss Colorado, Miss California, Miss North Carolina, Miss South Carolina. Everyone
on her floor is who we pretty much hang around with or we always end up on the same bus. So there's a lot of people.
Tell me something that no one has asked you, but you really want other people to know.
People never ask me about my name because it's so long.
What is it?
(OMG... it was outrageously long and I can't possibly translate it all. It was I think 9 LONG words)
So how does that come about?
It's a mixture of my different ethnicities . (The rest is REALLY long and hard to translate. I'll do it later)
What is your ethnicity?
Hawaiian, Chinese, Japanese, Irish, English, Portuguese, French, Italian, Spanish and (Can't hear the last one)
Special Thanks to Miss Hawaii USA for the interview
