The sixteen Miss Hong Kong contestants visited a pottery factory yesterday and it was #9 Chloe Nguyen's 19th birthday. #12 Tiffany Tse planted some crean on the birthday girl's nose. Magazines have reported that #8 Suki Chui has been consulting a fung shui expert to change her luck so she can win the contest. Suki explains that it is only her father's hobby.

Yesterday's event was joined by Olivia Cheng.
#11 Zurine Cheng was praised by Olivia. Zurine tells the press that she has been doing pottery for sometime now. Rumors have been going around the Zurine's mother wants her daugther to win and therefore told her to take pictures with hot favorites so she will be in the press. #6 Rachel Chan and #10 Liz Tsang also had some good creations.

June 24th

The contestants met the press officially, after their makeovers, yesterday. The contestants wore lose fitting skirts at the event and noticeably needed more training. Most of the contestants have a university education, but #10 Liz Tsang is only a high school graduate. #1 Amy Tsang, #4 Joyce Wong, and #11 Zurine Cheng were noted as having the best figures. #9 Chloe Nguyen is the youngest (19) and #13 Aimee Chan is the oldest contestant (25).

June 20th

The contestants went to TVB for their fitting and measurements yesterday. This was also the first time that the 4 overseas contestants were introduced to the press live. The 3 current hot doors according to the press are Cheng Wing Sum, Tsui Suk Man and Liu Wai Yee.


June 9th

After a week long documentary on the Beautiful Friendship Camp the 21 local contestants attended, the official Miss Hong Kong 2006 top 16 has been announced. Contestants who are moving on are, A1 Chan Man Fong, A2 Cheng Wing Sum, A5 Tsang Oi Mei, B1 Lee Wing Sze, B3 Yau Wing Yan, B4 Tsui Suk Man, B5 Tse Wing San, B6 Tsang Shui San, B7 Wong Ying, C1 Chan Yan Mei, C4 Liu Wai Yee and C5 Yuen Yee. They join Cheng Ka Man from Toronto, Chow Ka Wai from Toronto, Chow Wing Yee from Los Angeles and Lee Wing Chi from New York.

June 1st


A few days ago, the 21 local contestants met with judges Eric Tsang, Carol Cheng and the press. The 21 local contestants will enter a friendship camp for a few days to do team building activities. After attending the friendship camp, the 3 main judges Eric, Carol and Olivia Cheng will pick the top 12 local contestants. The 12 girls will join the preselected 4 overseas contestants to become the official Miss Hong Kong 2006 contestants.
