Bernice was an early favorite being called the Vancouver Norika Fujiwara (don't know who that is? haha... me either, so I found a pic). Hey, at least she was a favorite for a good reason, unlike some of the other contestants. Contestants #3 Calista Ng Poh-Li (Singapore) and #16 Lilly Hua (Calgary) were both favorites because of their large bust size.
Although Bernice was popular to the public, it seemed quite the opposite with her fellow contestants. It's been reported that Bernice always kept to herself and didn't really connect with the other contestants. Example is the picture on the right where Bernice is standing alone reading a magazine. All alone, so sad. During the top 5 presentations, the other contestants were asked to vote who was the most vain of the top 5. Bernice won that catagory! To add fire to the negative rumors about Bernice, after the pageant Calista (yes... #3 with the large bust size) called Bernice fake! She said that she didn't win any prizes because she was sincere and wasn't as fake as Bernice in answering questions.
Does Calista sound like a sore loser? Or does the evidence about Bernice add up? Did she think she was too good for the rest of the contestants? Or was she just determined? You decide.
