If you follow pageants, you have probably heard the rumors about the new Miss Universe 2003, Amelia Vega. You haven't? Well...that's why you must keep reading this article.

Apparently Amelia wasn't playing nice with the other contestants at Miss Universe and was even nicknamed "Miss Annoying" according to Global Beauties. What has she done to deserve such a name? Amelia hardly ever hung around the contestants and acted too good for them. Amelia was also a very cruel girl. During rehearsals she prurposely stepped on Miss Turkey's heel and never apologued. She told the other Latin delegates to go home because she had already won the title. "Miss annoying" (I would of given her another name...) actually went so far as to tell Miss Spain (a favorite for the crown), that she was ugly and fat right before the prelim for Miss Universe. Miss Spain was so upset (she cried backstage), she performed badly and didn't place in the top 15. Reportedly Amelia's Chaperone has even quit because she couldn't stand her anymore!

the contestants were hoping Mariangel (Most of the contestants thought she was "One of the sweetest and friendliest contestant this year" reported by GB) would win. Oddly enough, Amelia and Mariangel actually trained for Miss Universe |

together. According to a very reliable source, Venezuela's couch didn't like Mariangel, so the couch and Amelia would gang up on Mariangel. Mariangel was very upset to be training with Amelia, let alone share a stage with her! Amelia being nice to Mariangel when the two of them were on stage was totally fake!

What makes this girl even faker? Her looks! Yes, you've guessed it, it's all store bought. I've put a side by side picture of her before and after. Reportedly, she's gotten her nose, lip, chin and boobs done, maybe even more. If you look at the picture, you can tell her nose is a little bit longer and thinner. Her top lip is fuller on |

the sides. She either lost baby fat in her face or she got something done to her chin to make it look thinner.

| A girl who is ugly on the inside and fake on the outside as Miss Universe is hardly an example for young girls around the world. I question what the MIss Universe Organization looks for in a Queen. I always thought that Miss Universe |

should have the total package; well educated, kind on the inside and beautiful on the outside. Apparently, I am wrong. MUO is only looking for a beautiful face (real or fake) so they can make money off of the girl.
In defense of the judges, Amelia did perform well during Miss Universe. In the eyes of fans who haven't heard the gossip, perhaps a deserving winner. It isn't unlikely that the judges didn't hear the nasty things Amelia has done. Maybe the judges noticed how only a few girls came up to congratulated Amelia on her win. One contestant even refused to congratulate her and call her a witch. Furthermore, some girls refused to go to the coronation ball for Amelia or only showed up for a little bit. Some of the top 15 got their award and left right away. Perhaps next year, MUO will be able to let the judges get a REAL look at the contestants to see who is really deserving of the title. |
