Allan Thoughts 11/26

1. I arrived late today for orchestra practice. I was forced to use a violin with a loose string. As I tried to tighten it, it popped. I would have continued playing with a 3 string violin but instead, I just used the last violin on the rack. I was also sitting with the second violins, many of whom are in the 7th and 8th grade. I tried talking to the 8th grader next to me but he refused to talk back. Either I'm extremely intimidating or I'm not worth talking to. I am glad we are grooming the next generation. However, none of them come to me for advice or try to gain wisdom from me, like the old saavy veteran ballplayers and the rookies who just get called up from AAA. I guess that's means I'm a washed up veteran.

2. Today was testimony Sunday. The apparent theme this year is that cross country and dragonboat are two of the most dangerous activites. However, they are only second and third to riding the bus, which wins the award as the most dangerous activity in 2006.

3. There were two cakes today. I ate the Nathan cake. Martin threw out the cardboard for the cake.
