Allan's Thoughts for 10/14

It's been awhile since I last wrote. My two month training program in

Virginia was the main reason I stopped writing, but it's time I start it

up again.

Over the past month I've been back, we've cleaned up the church and

gotten a lot done. A few weeks ago after Baptism setup, Brian, Pat, Peony,

Martin, Roger, Cal and I vacuumed all the vans. Later that night,

Ophelia and Selina stopped by as we buffed, mopped, and waxed the floors

until 2AM. If you've never used a floor buffer before, it's tiring and

hard to control. My dad used to buff floors for one of his first jobs, so

maybe the gene was passed on to me.

Baptism was a success, or so I heard. I was literally facing the other

direction and did not see anything, as I was in front of Melvin's house

directing the male baptism participants into the changing rooms.

All the kids at church are growing up. Fast.

Norm, Cal, and Peony have been working hard on a Christmas play. From

what I know so far, it's still in the works and we need people to act in

the play. This is your chance, folks.

The Christmas season is around the corner, and it's my favorite time of

the year. I've always enjoyed the Christmas dinner, and the

Thanksgiving dinner too. I remember last year, Brian, Selina, and I decorated the church with lights and that white spray stuff on the windows. And when we turned off all the lights, we just sat in the auditorium silently

and watched the blinking lights. It was great.
