Allan's Thoughts for 10/8/06

1. On Friday, Pat spoke at Bible Study about doing more for God and not running away from duties as a Christian. There was also a big collision outside of church on 19th avenue that blocked traffics. Two cars were involved, with one completely flipped over. No church vans were harmed.

2. The CBC Olympics are currently being planned. Cal Poon is in charge. 9 events have been set, with more news to come. All are encouraged to participate, with possible prizes being given away. Rumors of ribbons and pies have been reported, but not confirmed.

3. I used a broom this Sunday to remove two volleyballs stuck underneath the vans. I was met with ridicule and a "janitor" comment from Martin.

4. The Halloween Haunted House and Carnival are two weeks away. The signup list was sent around this Sunday and the first page was nearly filled. Kenny was the first the sign up, and also the largest name on the list. This is a great way to meet the kids and have some fun.

5. CBC has now implemented a 5 minute break instead of the normal 10-15 minute break. No comment.

6. Orchestra and band spring training begins soon. Violinists and fluitists are set to report next month. Jenny is pregnant, but is still penciled in as the opening day conductor.

7. Volleyball season is over. Basketball season will begin in a few months. Please be careful, there is an outdoor gymnasium on court 3 with steel beams that can set a pretty nasty screen.
