Peanut is the next in Christine's clan. Unfortunately, she was a runt amonst the kits; Nicole has to hold on to her as her weaning time must be extended. After seeing her recently, she is bigger than the picture, but not by normal standards. To illustrate this I've composed a little scale; this is without tail and at the age of 1 1/2 months.

But what she lacks in size, she makes up for in cute sweetnes and a wonderful personality. As far as chinchillas go, Peanut proves that size DOESN'T matter. She has a wonderful stature and when tries to jump can't quite get to where she wants. Totally unphased by this, she gets back up and tries again. Her perserverence is astounding. She also seemed to like being held (aside from getting wiped down), but a true judgement on this will be made after my sister gets her.
