Lessons Program & Policies
1. All lessons are private and geared specifically to the individual's level of skill
2. Ride time is approximately 35 minutes
3. Rider has the option of getting their own mount ready or having it done for them
4. Monthly progress reports presented to the individual (if an adult) or to the parents
5. Trained lesson horses are available
6. Saddleseat equitation is our specialty but all seats are taught
7. Please note: equitation is very different from general riding lessons with the focus on the show ring
8. A strict schedule of appointments for lessons is required
9. Proper attire is required after the second lesson--a helmet is mandatory for all riders under 18 years of age
10. Lessons are $25.00 each or 5 for $100.00 paid in advance
11. After the first 6 months, an evaluation meeting is set up to determine your long range goals
China Pointe offers a comprehensive course in saddleseat equitation as well as huntseat and western. Using both American Saddlebred and morgan school horses that have been shown extensively, China Pointe gives only private instruction to riders from beginner to advanced.
