When they say that bonding can take some time, they were not joking! Today seemed to be the worst day yet. Just the sound of Roger's voice pushed Olivia over the edge. Bless that man! He tries and tries. He held her kicking and screaming while I got a shower this morning. While I was in the shower he thought
that it might be his mustache that was the problem. So
what did he do? He shaved it off! (I have never seen him
without it). It was a good idea, but no
such luck. Check that off the list.
We stayed in today as the bug has begun to catch a few
member of our group. I seem to be getting it too. My
stomach was really yucky tonight. Even rice didn't
sound good.
We will get Olivia's passport tomorrow and leave for
Guangzhou in the evening, so I will not post tomorrow as it
will be a busy day of packing and getting to the
airport and then into Guangzhou late in the evening. Once there, we are on
the downhill side of our journey through China.
We both are very much ready to come home and share
Olivia with you all. Papa Vince and Uncle Bob please
be prepared for the alligator face. This is the face
that she gives any man who she makes eye contact
with. Poor Daddy is very used to this face. I will
try to get a picture of it as it is kind of funny, eyes
closed, mouth wide open, and head back.
Prayers are helping greatly, please keep them coming
our way!
Love from China,
RR and O |
